My office is conveniently located and parking is free. In addition, all initial consultations are free of charge. About Attorney Kish I am a 1991 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster in 1995. While at Wooster, I played baseball for two years before injuries ended my career. I entered the evening program at the University of Akron School of Law in 1997. I commuted to Akron three nights a week for four years while also working full time at a Youngstown law firm. I earned my Juris Doctorate from Akron in May of 2001 and successfully completed the Ohio Bar Exam. Although most newly admitted attorneys elect to be sworn in by the Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court in Columbus, Ohio, I opted for a more private, meaningful ceremony with my family and office colleagues. It was important to me to take the Lawyer's Oath in the very city in which I would practice in front of all those who depended upon me to uphold the Oath. Former Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge Maureen Cronin graciously allowed the use of her courtroom and administered the Lawyer's Oath to me on December 6, 2001. I began my legal career as an Associate lawyer at Betras, Maruca & Kopp, LLC, elevating from the position of law clerk which I had held there during my final two years of law school. I truly could not have withstood and endured the final two years of law school without the guidance, assistance and generosity of everone at Betras, Maruca & Kopp, LLC. I continued to work at Betras, Maruca & Kopp, LLC until April of 2007. At that time, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening my own law practice, The Kish Law Firm, LLC. I married the former Denise Thompson on October 13, 2001. My wife and I are the extremely proud parents of a young daughter who will be entering kindergarten this fall. It has been truly remarkable to watch her transform and grow over the past five years. If I'm not at the office or in court, the chances are excellent that we are all together doing something new and exciting. Though not quite 5 years old yet, my daughter has her own set of golf clubs and asks nearly every day to go to a driving range or Mill Creek's Par 3 course.
